I build Vidcru — the video generation pipeline, the credit system, and the editor. I write the articles here for the same reason I write the code: most explanations of AI video are either marketing copy or hand-waving, and the interesting parts are in the details of how the thing actually works.

Vidcru turns a prompt or a script into a finished video. Under the hood that means splitting a script into scenes, deciding what should be on screen for each one, animating a template, a character or an AI image for it, then narrating, captioning, and scoring it. I've spent enough time on each of those stages to have opinions about where they break.

What I write about here is drawn from building it: why some prompts produce usable scenes and others produce noise, how credits map to the length of a finished video, and which format actually suits a given kind of content.
